Seafoam Fan

Description

This Torchon fan was inspired by the waves over sand. The way the patterns change, and move is remarkable. This design tries to capture some of these changes and movement. Although the design looks relatively simple, it is a design for a competent and confident lacemaker. The background of the piece is made in Roseground, which, I believe, suggests bubbling foam. There are blocks of Cloth Stitch to suggest the waves as well as Honeycomb ground for the calmer water beyond the sands.
