Christingle

Description

An original braid lace design inspired by the Christingle service held in many churches on the run up to Christmas, designed by Jan Gardiner. The pattern contains prickings to make this as either a Christmas card insert or as a window or tree decoration. The hanging is approximately 12cm (4.75 inches) diameter whilst the card insert is approximately 3cm (1.2 inches) in diameter.

Requirements: 4 to 12 pairs of Aurifil Mako 28 cotton, suitably coloured metallic thread or similar.

Aurifil thread can be found under the ‘Aurifil Mako Cotton’ tab in the ‘Threads and Wires’ section and is available in a wide range of colours.

(This pattern comes complete with a suitable gold coloured ring for the larger size).
