Celtic Knot

Description

An original and interesting Braid Lace design, based on a Celtic Knot, by Jan Gardiner. The finished item is approximately 11 x 11cm (4.25 x 4.25 inches) in size. This lace can be worked in almost any thread, the finer the thread the more pairs are required. The example shown was worked in Venus 70 cotton and a suitably coloured metallic thread.

Requirements: 6 pairs of Venus 70 crochet cotton or Aurifil 28 cotton or similar, plus 2 pairs of a suitably coloured metallic thread in each braid.

Venus 70 thread can be found under the ‘Venus Cotton’ tab in the ‘Threads and Wires’ section and is available in a range of colours.

Aurifil thread can be found under the ‘Aurifil Mako Cotton’ tab in the ‘Threads and Wires’ section and is available in a wide range of colours.
